Interview

(edited for clarity)

How did your interest in music start?

My music interest started when I was 12 years old, as the Geylang Bahru neighbourhood I lived in was surrounded by people playing the guitar.

Which musicians inspire you? Who is your favourite?

I am inspired by an electric guitarist named Yngwie J. Malmsteen. He is a neoclassical guitarist who knows what he is doing. He knows how to apply theory into practice.

What are your other hobbies?

My other hobbies are composing, playing games, and watching anime.

What spurred you to teach music?

The reason I want to teach is inspired by a guy named Paul Gilbert, a rock guitarist. He was a guitar instructor at M. I. Musicians Institute.

What was your favourite moment in class?

My favourite moment would be when the students can deliver what I have taught them.
